She called the Police for Help. They Arrested Here.
She had a few beers, it was her home that she owned, she had a couple of friends over, it is her property and she is allowed to do so. A stranger to her shows up at her home at 2AM, walks right in and proceeds to create a scene, along with grabbing at her clothes. She calls the Libby Police for Help, and she is cuffed, thrown to the ground, jumped on (thought the records say that the officer was stopping her fall). Her shoulder was dislocated, she had horrible scraps and wounds as well as other muscular damage. And while all this was going on and while she, the homeowner who called for help was arrested and taken to jail, the Guy who walked into her house - uninvited and physically (groping) attacking her - Well the other Officer on the Scene gave him a ride home.
This sounds right to me, I guess I was naive enough to thing that in 2009 Libby had progressed with the way law enforcement treats "victims" but I guess not. The Best thing to do according to what I am hearing and even from mental health councilors is to leave Libby Montana because it is not going to get better.
These Cops go to school for 12 weeks, quite often you pay for their school and then we have to be afraid of them. Most folks I talk to say they have not called the cops in years because they know what will happen, whatever that means.
I grew up in Lincoln County and I know how it is here, I guess I just thought 30 years later some evolution of sorts would have taken place. But I can see now that there is no hope of making people obey the law, no one makes them. There is no hope of respect among citizens, no one cares or they simply believe the local newspaper's version and feel they are leaving in a "great place to raise kids", whatever delusion is needed to stay in Lincoln County then have it, but beauty is all we go, and there certainly is No Justice, unless you have one of those Fancy Last names.
Also with the case above the women went to her doctors and guess what this Libby doctor is married to or best friends with the cops on the scene. And knows all the victims business, well the cops version anyway. Client or Victim Confidentiality does NOT exist in Libby Montana.
This is not just small town stuff, I have to say the Eureka Cops are not like this, and Libby has gone way off the scale of decency and respect. The motto seems to be if you have someone enter your house, don't call the Libby Cops, they will arrest you, the one who called for help. And the guy that broke into your home, well he is a hometown boy and he will simply get a ride home while you spend the night in jail, battered and bruised by the Libby Cops and you spend weeks to months trying to fight the charges against you. Don't walk out of Libby Montana, Runnnn !!!
This Blog is ... Libby Montana News by the People for the People .. This is how the Victim told the story to me.
